The Frick Collection
In collaboration with The Frick Collection, Tanu Vasu created a whimsical series of illustrated keepsakes celebrating the museum’s rich artistic heritage and timeless architecture. Inspired by the grandeur of its historic New York City home and its collection of decorative arts, the designs capture the intricate details of its stately facade, classical sculptures, ornate clocks, and ceramics.
The collection features three unique pieces: a paper dollhouse celebrating the museum’s architecture, a set of nine illustrated stickers highlighting its treasured objects, and a paper doll inspired by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’ portrait of Louise, Comtesse d’Haussonville, complete with interchangeable outfits.
Hand-illustrated using traditional ink-etching techniques and brought to life through delicate colors and intricate detailing, each piece offers a playful interpretation of The Frick Collection, transforming its art and architecture into charming keepsakes.
